What’s new in low pressure sensing?

At Sensors Expo 2018, Dale Dauenhauer, the General Manager of All Sensors explains All Sensors’ role now that the company is part of the Sensor Group at Amphenol Corporation. All Sensors was acquired for its low pressure sensing technology. As part of Amphenol, their activities will mainly be focused into the medical market in applications such as low-pressure ventilator/respirator and breathing as well as the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) market in air filter monitoring.

Dauenhauer feels that being able to work with other Amphenol companies will be a great benefit to the market. As part of Amphenol, All Sensors will continue to support existing customers and plans to grow its customer base through discussions with other parts of the parent organization including sensor and connectors divisions.

From a product standpoint, All Sensors’ new compact series has a 16-bit digital I2C输出和我s available in several small outline (SO) compact packages as small as 7 x7 mm. Using the company’s CoBeam2Technology, theDLC Seriesaddresses the performance requirements of ultra low (1 to 60 inH2O) pressure range applications in their focused areas of medical and HVAC as well as industrial controls and portable handheld equipment. With a typical pressure resolution of 15.5 bits, the ±1 inH2O DLC-L01D compact high resolution sensor has a total error band maximum of ±2.00 % full scale span (FSS).

In addition to the three new products already released this year, Dauenhauer expects that they will introduce three or four additional products later this year with a strong focus on digital product lines.
