ARM consortium welcomes FANUC America as 200th member

Less than three years after its formation in 2017, Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing is pleased to announce that its membership base has grown to more than 200 organizations. FANUC America Corp. is the 200th member of the ARM consortium, and FANUC is a world leader in robotics, CNC systems, and factory automation.

FANUC joins ARM’s growing ecosystem of prestigious and diverse member organizations across the U.S. They include large robotic solution providers, start-ups, education/workforce training organizations, manufacturers of all sizes, traditional universities, community colleges, and more. The ARM consortium is intended to bridge the gaps betweenindustry, government, andacademiaand to facilitate collaboration for the future of manufacturing through technology and workforce innovations.

“We’re honored to be a member of ARM,” said Paul Aiello, director of education at FANUC America. “FANUC has a long history of partnering with education and shares ARM’s commitment to workforce training to help improve the skill level of our manufacturing workforce.”

“FANUC’s industry-education curriculums and certifications focus on the need to prepare a talent pipeline of workers who possess the core competencies and automation technology skills to work in high-tech manufacturing,” he added. “We look forward to collaborating with ARM to help inspire our future workforce and connect with leading manufacturers to help solve their production challenges with advanced robotic and automation technologies.”

“We are thrilled to have reached this milestone,” noted Dr. Byron Clayton, CEO of the ARM consortium. “The quality and quantity of member organizations on-board speaks to these organizations’ passion for innovation and dedication to empowering American workers and strengthening U.S. manufacturing.”

To date, ARM has 40 active projects spanning technology and workforce development, with approximately 43% of its member organizations participating in one or more project. The ARM consortium also recently announced its fifthTechnology Project Call, which will expand its project portfolio.
