An automotive company is investing $26.9 million in their Detroit facility, with a mind to create 160 jobs. The Chinese-owned YFS Automotive Systems is expanding its existing United States holdings with an eye to “play a role in the revival” of the city, company president Marius Sipos said.
In other employment news, Japanese Mitsubishi Aircraft opened an engineering center in Seattle on Aug. 3, employing about 100 engineers recruited from the Seattle area and about 50 engineers from Japan. The facility will focus on building the Mitsubishi Regional Jet, a commercial aircraft.
