ThePost-Star is reporting纽约州立大学Queensbur Adirondack-a公共学院y, N.Y. with 3,000 students—is planning to add associate degree programs in robotics and mechanical technology to meet the needs of local employers.
The paper noted that the school’s board of trustees approved creating an associate degree program in mechatronics last week and that existing courses in mechanical technology design and drafting would be incorporated into this degree. Additionally, there would also be two robotics classes and a class on hydraulics and pneumatics.
The university also recently posted a job offering looking for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Mechatronics, a full-time tenure track position in the school’s Technology Division that will involve teaching different aspects of various technology fields as part of “a comprehensive two-year program in mechatronics.”
