Siemens announces the addition of a 22” display and new support arm mounting options to its line of industrial flat panel monitors (IFP). The new Simatic 22” IFP2200 PRO and 19” IFP1900 PRO industrial flat panel monitors both feature widescreen, capacitive multi-touch glass fronts and IP65 degrees of protection.
Several mounting versions of the industrial flat panels’ displays are available. Both models can accommodate support arms and extension components using a standard 48.3 mm-round tube or Siemens flange mount adaptor. They are suitable for support arms without extension components using a basic adaptor that is included with the IFPs. They may also be pedestal mounted using the included basic adaptor. The rugged and lightweight aluminum enclosures are easily mounted directly on a machine or stand as well.
The high performing monitors are ideal for demanding industrial visualization tasks even in extreme vibration, shock and harsh ambient conditions. Projected-capacitive touch technology (PCT) enables single and multi-touch or gesture-based operation, even when wearing thin protective gloves. The 19” model offers a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution and the 22” offers 1920x 1080 pixels. Images can be panned and zoomed. Hidden components are shown both intuitively and quickly.
The flat panel monitors also offer high levels of flexibility and expandability. They include DVI-I, DisplayPort and four USB interfaces to connect with PCs.
