Sensor cable contains electronics

Two compact, infrared temperature sensors are cost effective, high accuracy, rugged devices for measuring temperatures from -20°C up to 350°C. Because processing electronics are integrated in the sensor cable, both sensors are small. Both the ‘optris CS’ and the ‘optris CSmicro’ measure 14 mm in dia. with M12 thread. The first sensor is 87 mm in length; the second is 28. The ‘optris CS’ can be used in ambient temperatures to 75°C without cooling. Further features are: a scalable analog output of 0 – 10 V or 0 – 5 V, adjustable signal processing, short circuit and polarity reversal protection, USB programming interface with software and a power range of 5 – 7 or 12 – 28 Vdc.
The ‘optris CSmicro’ also provides a programmable simultaneous alarm output for fast analysis and switching operations. Response time is 30ms. The sensor can be used in ambient temperatures of up to 120°C without having to cool the sensing head.
