French authorities say a week-long operation has begun on the Indian Ocean island of Reunion to search for debris from the doomed MH370 flight, after part of a wing believed to belong to it was found there last week.
The prefect of the French overseas department Dominique Sorain said Friday that a helicopter and water vehicles would scour an area 120 kilometers (75 miles) by 40 kilometers (25 miles) around the east coast of the island — where the 2-meter-long object was originally found.
Sorain说发现了其他对象the island’s beaches since last week and have been taken away for examination, but he said officials don’t know if these belong to a plane or not.
