5 reasons for robotics engineers to attend the Robotics Summit & Expo 罗依botics engineers usually focus on solving immediate problems, but it’s important to take a step back periodically to assess the landscape, brush up on skills, and share a vision of the future. The罗依botics Summit & Expo2019 includes the following features to help engineers master current tools and advance their careers and the state of robotics.

1. See keynotes by world-class tech leaders

Automation has come a long way from dumb machines on assembly lines. Learn where robotics is going and how artificial intelligence, the cloud, 5G, and the Internet of Things will affect the next generation of robots.

Executives from Amazon Web Services,Cruise, Microsoft,NVIDIA, and Qualcomm willshare their insightsand explain what their organizations are doing to usher in smarter and more connected robots.

In addition, the head of the Directorate for Engineering at the National Science Foundation and the developer of the U.S. National Robotics Roadmap will look at the future of work and what we can expect in the coming year, respectively.

2. Sit in on informative sessions and panels

Theagendaat the Robotics Summit is tailored to the people building commercial robots. Four tracks cover tools and platforms, design and development, manufacturability and production, and a research and markets.

罗依botics engineers should pay close attention to the sessions and panels around actuators, the user interface, motion control, safety, and navigation and mapping.

Researchers will also be interested in content around user-centric design, production, machine learning, protecting intellectual property, and the Robot Operating System (ROS). Leading companies such as Fetch Robitcs, Humatics, maxon precision motors, and Neurala will be represented,

3. Participate in hands-on workshops

This event isn’t just about observing presentations. On Tuesday, June 4, the freeAWS RoboMaker Immersion Dayis a chance for technical professionals to learn from Amazon Web Services before the Robotics Summit & Expo. Attendees will learn how to use the cloud-based RoboMaker system and ROS to create intelligent robotics products and services.

The Future of Mechatronics & Robotics Engineering (FoMRE) Education working group isconducting a workshopco-located with the summit. The FoMRE working group invites educators, researchers, and industry representatives to help it advance mechatronics and robotics engineering education at the bachelor’s degree and postgraduate levels.

4. Meet robotics suppliers, organizations at the expo

With more than 70exhibitorson the show floor, robotics engineers will find component suppliers including Harmonic Drive, organizations such as theARM Institute, and full system providers such as Waypoint Robotics.

Waypoint’s Vector is an omnidirectional mobile robot that can go and charge itself.

The International Pavilion will feature exhibitors from South Korea, Denmark, and around the world. If you’re building a robot or, looking for partners, this is the place to be.

In addition, the Robotics Summit & Expo is co-located withDeviceTalks Boston专注于医疗设备。

5. Network and develop your career

Not only can attendees learn about the latest tech trends and improve their skills, but they can also compare notes with their peers and advance their careers.
