smalls From medical devices to electronics, the world around us is getting smaller. “How small can you go?” This is one of the questions a Smalley engineer hears all the time … but a better question is how small do you need? As The Engineer’s Choice™ for Wave Springs and Spirolox Retaining Rings we have the answer!

Smalley’s newly expanded manufacturing capabilities now allow us to design and manufacture Smalley Wave Springs and Spirolox Retaining Rings down to 0.165” diameters! For over 50 years, Smalley engineers have pushed the limits on coiling technology. Smalley’s Crest-to-Crest Wave springs originated nearly 35 years ago with the promise of space savings and continue to provide spring height reductions of nearly 50% compared to standard coil springs. “We are now able to offer engineers space saving capabilities in applications and industries that have long sought the use of our technology,” states Jamie Madison, Smalley’s Product Engineering Manager. How small do you need?

Our engineering and manufacturing teams continue to push the coiling limits. Challenge us to see if we can design a ring or spring for your application. Ask Smalley™, is not just a slogan, it is what we do best; answer design questions and provide solutions that works best for your application. Smalley Steel Ring Company meets international standards of excellence, including ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, AS9100, and ISO 14001. Their world headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in Lake Zurich, Illinois, northwest of Chicago.
