PBC Linear and Moons’ Industries Announce PBC + Moons’

At the recent China International Industry Fair (CIIF Show) in Shanghai, PBC Linear, and Moons’ Industries announced a joint venture, PBC + Moons’, to develop and deliver integrated mechatronic solutions for linear motion applications throughout North America, Asia and Europe. Some of these linear motion applications include 3D printers, such as the 3DP1000 developed by3DP Unlimited, a subsidiary of PBC Linear.

Over the past 20 years, Moons’ Industries has grown to become the fourth largest stepper motor manufacturer in the world. Stepper motors are a key component in the design of 3D printers, helping to deliver the position accuracy needed when building parts layer by layer.

The joint venture combines PBC Linear’s expertise in manufacturing precision linear rails, multiple bearing types and drive options, and Moons’ experience in stepper and smart stepper motors, control solutions and network connectivity to provide a global, simplified approach to integrated mechatronics for single-axis robot modules and multi-axis systems, and the 3DP1000.

“We’ve always been excited about what the future holds for 3DP Unlimited,” said John Good, VP of Sales forPBC Linear。“中国人民银行线性的血统,我们的专业知识n creating robust linear actuators, has always allowed 3DP Unlimited to create some of the highest quality 3D printers on the market. Now, our partnership with Moons’ will allow us to build upon that foundation, while streamlining complex design and engineering processes, as well as expose 3DP Unlimited printers to new markets around the world.”

The composite of world-class linear motion from PBC and the first-rate motors and controls from Moons’ addresses the market’s merging of technical disciplines. The partnership simplifies the selection process for designers, streamlines engineering and application processes and makes maintenance manageable by bringing together the pieces of mechanical and electrical controls necessary to create a complete mechatronics solution for linear motion.
